About the Board

Christina Slaughter

For generations, the women in Christina Slaughter’s family have lived with the devastating impact of endometriosis. When her daughter was diagnosed, it was not unfamiliar territory—it was the continuation of a cycle she had already witnessed firsthand. Decades earlier, Christina’s sister was advised to undergo a hysterectomy before reaching adulthood, and years later, many patients are still being offered the same limited options while enduring years of dismissal, misdiagnosis, and untreated pain.

That experience fuels Christina’s passion for advocacy and education through The Endo Collective. She believes individuals living with endometriosis deserve to be heard, believed, and given access to evidence-based medical care without having to fight the system alone. Through awareness, advocacy, and financial support initiatives, she is committed to helping create meaningful change for patients and families affected by the disease.

Christina is a graduate of Boise State University with a degree in Communication and Media Studies, emphasizing Relational and Organizational Studies. She currently serves as a Project Specialist with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, where she works to support the health, safety, and independence of Idahoans.

Throughout her career, Christina has held leadership, management, and training roles with organizations including Amazon, DIRECTV, Micron Technology, and The E.W. Scripps Company. She has also collaborated with numerous nonprofit organizations, including Junior Achievement of Idaho, United Way, Toys for Tots, and Women’s and Children’s Alliance.

Her previous nonprofit experience includes supporting operations and strategic initiatives for the Idaho Technology Council, where she helped coordinate statewide technology events, member engagement initiatives, and organizational projects.

Aj Bocox

For AJ Bocox, the mission behind The Endo Collective is deeply personal. He has witnessed firsthand the physical, emotional, and financial toll endometriosis can take—not only on patients, but on entire families. Walking alongside his wife through multiple surgeries, medical trauma, and the long search for answers exposed the gaps in awareness, support, and access to specialized care that so many individuals face every day.

AJ joined The Endo Collective to help advocate for greater awareness, expanded access to evidence-based treatment, and stronger support systems for those navigating life with endometriosis. He is especially passionate about recognizing the broader impact the disease has on partners, families, and caregivers, believing that no one should have to navigate the journey alone.

AJ is an entrepreneur with a professional background in marketing, media, and creative strategy. He has owned and operated multiple businesses and previously served as a Media Director within the nonprofit sector. His experience leading branding, content development, and marketing initiatives brings valuable creative and operational insight to The Endo Collective’s mission and outreach efforts.

Combined with his personal experience supporting a loved one through endometriosis, AJ brings both professional expertise and heartfelt advocacy to The Endo Collective’s board.

Ashley DeRoche

Ashley DeRoche is passionate about serving others and strengthening communities through compassion, connection, and practical support. Her involvement with The Endo Collective was inspired by her close friendship with founder Lauren Bocox and witnessing firsthand the challenges individuals and families face while navigating endometriosis. Seeing both the impact of the disease and the need for greater awareness, access, and support motivated Ashley to join the organization’s Board of Directors.

Ashley believes every person living with endometriosis deserves access to quality care, reliable information, and a supportive community. She is honored to help advance The Endo Collective’s mission of raising awareness, expanding access, and empowering individuals through education, advocacy, and financial assistance for evidence-based medical care.

A Texas native, Ashley relocated to Idaho with her husband, Christopher, in 2021 and quickly embraced the community and opportunities the state has to offer. She brings more than 20 years of experience in childcare and education, with professional experience spanning private childcare, preschool administration, higher education support, and project coordination within the construction industry.

In addition to her professional experience, Ashley is deeply committed to volunteerism and community outreach. She actively serves with True Hope Church and has participated in humanitarian and nonprofit efforts through The Bucket Ministry. Her heart for service and dedication to helping others make her a valuable advocate for individuals and families impacted by endometriosis.

Ashley and her husband share their home with their beloved dogs, Lucy and Nelli, and remain committed to supporting causes that create meaningful, lasting change in the lives of others.
